Protect The Pack
In December 2020, I won Northeastern University’s “Design A Mask” competition which was open to undergraduate and graduate students. The prompt was to design a mask you and others would like to wear. "Be creative. Be expressive. Look to the world around you for inspiration."For my submission, I drew inspiration from one of the many public art installations on campus. This particular installation is located at the entrance of Richardson Plaza and showcases vibrantly colored hanging banners. These banners (shown below) were the perfect subject as they are beautiful, turning the Richardson Plaza into the ideal outdoor study spot on campus. The Northeastern community is now able to carry around the joyful colors of these banners wherever they go while supporting a worthwhile cause: Northeastern's COVID-19 Resilience Fund.

subtle drop shadow transforms masks ✨️
I decided to add drop shadows to better mimic the banners' shadows and to help give an illusion of depth. I submitted all three of these mask versions.
A few weeks later I was notified that version 2 of my mask design was a finalist. I was asked to make a minor revision by including "#ProtectThePackNU" on the mask.
